YOGA SESSION
A yoga
session was held at Whitehall school, aimed at promoting physical, mental, and
spiritual well-being among students. The session began with an emphasis on
traditional practices and explored the deep connection between yoga and Ayurveda,
focusing on a holistic approach to health.
The
session commenced with chanting of ?,
a sacred
sound in yoga. The vibrations from chanting Om help calm the mind, providing
clarity and peace.
The
instructor highlighted the importance of daily routine (Dincharya) and seasonal
routine (Ritucharya), both essential in Ayurveda for maintaining health.
The
phrase "Kare Yog Rahe Nirog" (Practice Yoga, Stay Disease-Free) was
emphasized throughout the session. Regular yoga practice not only maintains
physical health but also promotes emotional and spiritual balance.
A special
segment was dedicated to explaining the medicinal uses of common spices in
Ayurveda. These spices like turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon play a crucial role
in maintaining health by boosting immunity and improving digestion.
The
session touched upon common disorders like anxiety, asthma, arthritis, and
digestive issues. Yoga and Ayurvedic practices, when combined, can effectively
manage and prevent these ailments.
Participants
were encouraged to adopt the habit of waking up early, as it aligns with the
body’s natural rhythm and promotes better mental and physical health.
In
conclusion, the yoga session successfully integrated the teachings of yoga and
Ayurveda, offering participants valuable insights into a holistic lifestyle
that can lead to improved health and well-being.
