EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO ARYABHATTA RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF OBSERVATION SCIENCE (ARIES)

 To inspire the young minds about Astrophysics, Solar physics and Atmospheric science a group of Grade 12 (Science) students were taken to an educational trip to the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observation Science (ARIES) Nainital, on 21 May 2025 which is located on Manora Peak campus.

On reaching ARIES students enjoyed watching Planetarium show and had a good learning experience about Sun, Star and Galaxies. After that they observed dark spots on sun (sunspots) through telescope and were briefed about Solar minimum and Solar maximum. They learnt about various telescopes and were fortunate to see 104 cm Sampurnanand Telescope. They also visited auditorium and saw videos on Telescopes. They had an interactive session with Dr. Virendra which enhances their thinking skills.

This trip was an enjoyable and learning experience for students. It helped to create scientific temperament and attitude in students.
