NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
National
Sports Day was celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm and excitement.
The day is observed every year on 29th August to commemorate the birth
anniversary of the legendary hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand, whose remarkable
contribution to Indian sports is remembered with pride.
The
celebration began with students watching an inspiring documentary on Major
Dhyan Chand. The film not only highlighted his extraordinary achievements but
also motivated students to embrace discipline, dedication, and hard work in the
field of sports and in life.
After
the screening, various sporting activities were organized on the school
grounds. Students eagerly participated in basketball and volleyball matches,
displaying their talent, teamwork, and true sportsmanship. The matches were
filled with energy and thrill, and the spirit of healthy competition created an
electrifying atmosphere.
To
make the celebration more engaging, fun activities were also conducted in the
classrooms. These activities encouraged creativity, collaboration, and friendly
interaction among the students. The joy and laughter in the classrooms
highlighted how sports and games bring unity and cooperation along with
fitness.
The
celebration of National Sports Day was not just an event but a meaningful
reminder of the importance of sports in our lives. It reinforced the idea that
sports play a vital role in shaping character, building confidence, and
promoting a healthy lifestyle. The day ended on a cheerful note, leaving every
student motivated and inspired to pursue sports with passion.
