Description: Van Mahotsav at Whitehall School A tree plantation drive was successfully conducted on 3rd July 2025 at Whitehall School as a collaborative initiative with the Forest Department. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and foster a sense of ecological responsibility among students. The drive was led by Mr. Erickson, School Director, and Ms. Manral, Principal, in coordination with Mr. Rautela, Ranger – Bhakra Kendra Range. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the School Cabinet, NCC Army and Air Wing Cadets, and students of Grade VI. Together, the participants planted a variety of indigenous tree saplings across the school campus. The Forest Department provided technical guidance and saplings, ensuring that the drive adhered to sustainable plantation practices. This joint effort not only contributed to the greening of the school environment but also instilled a strong environmental ethic in the young minds involved. Whitehall School actively promotes environmental responsibility and awareness through regular tree plantation drives. These initiatives are designed to instill a sense of ecological stewardship in students by involving them directly in greening their surroundings. By planting and caring for trees, students learn the importance of biodiversity, conservation, and sustainable living—core values that the school integrates into its environmental education efforts.
