Visit to a Spastic School by the School
Cabinet
On
14th July, the School Cabinet of Whitehall School, Lamachaur visited Srajan
Spastic School. The visit aimed to encourage empathy, promote inclusiveness,
and provide support to students with special needs.
Upon
arrival, the cabinet members were warmly welcomed by the staff and students.
The visit began with the school assembly and later briefing by the teachers of
the Spastic School, who shared insights into the daily challenges and triumphs
of the students. This was followed by a tour of the special education classes.
The
highlight of the visit was a series of interactive activities, including arts
and crafts. These activities allowed our students to engage directly with the
children, building bonds and mutual understanding. Their bond became so strong
that they were not willing to leave the school and wanted to spend more time with
them.
The
visit was an eye-opening experience for the cabinet members. It deepened their
appreciation for the efforts of educators and caregivers working there and
inspired them to be more inclusive in their attitudes and actions.
The
School Cabinet strongly desires to continue future visits and collaborative
projects. We are grateful to the staff and students of Srajan Spastic School
for their hospitality and for giving us the opportunity to learn and grow
through this meaningful experience.
Thank you.
