Inter-House Essay Competition

An Inter-House Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Spare the Pen – “A Day Without Mobile Phone” was conducted for Grade 8 students on 18th April at Whitehall, Lamachaur. The competition aimed to promote creative writing skills and encourage students to reflect on the importance of limiting mobile phone usage in daily life.

Students from all four houses participated with great enthusiasm and presented thoughtful ideas on how a day without mobile phones can improve focus, strengthen relationships, and enhance productivity. Their essays reflected creativity, clarity of thought, and awareness of responsible technology use.

The essays were judged on the basis of content, expression, and originality. The competition concluded successfully, inspiring students to adopt a balanced and mindful approach towards the use of technology.
