An English Spell Bee Competition was held in our school on 19th July 2025 as a part of the inter-house activities. Students from all four houses participated with great enthusiasm and team spirit. The competition aimed to enhance studens spelling skills, vocabulary, and presence of mind.

The event was judged by our respected Principal, Ms. Manral, whose presence greatly motivated the participants.

Words for the competition were selected from the Oxford English Dictionary, ensuring authenticity and a fair level of challenge. Students were given a time limit to spell each word correctly, and they were allowed to ask for the word’s pronunciation, meaning, and usage in a sentence to aid their understanding.

Through this competition, students learned the importance of correct spelling, word meanings, their origin and clarity in pronunciation. It also encouraged them to improve their vocabulary and boosted their confidence in using the English language effectively.

The competition was concluded leaving students inspired and eager for more such enriching experiences.
