DRIVE - A VISIT TO GAULAPAR DANIBANGER FOREST CHAUKI

On 22nd July, a
group of enthusiastic students from Whitehall School embarked on an educational
and environmental excursion to the Gaulapar Danibager Forest Chauki, under the
guidance and support of VINCULAR Testing Labs India Private Limited. The visit was
part of a broader initiative to foster environmental awareness and scientific
curiosity among students about medicinal plants.
The group was
warmly welcomed by the forest staff and team members from VINCULAR. Students
were briefed about the rich biodiversity of the Gaulapar forest region and its
crucial role in maintaining ecological balance. Divisional Forest Officer (DFO)
Mr. Ghananand Chanyal shared valuable insights into the workings of the Forest
Chauki (Forest Check Post) and how it contributes to the protection and
monitoring of the local flora and fauna.
Students actively
participated in discussions, posed thoughtful questions, and engagement . A
quiz was conducted for the students in which they participated and recieved
many gifts. The visit proved to be not only informative but also inspiring,
reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship among the younger
generation.
The visit to
Gaulapar Danibager Forest Chauki was a resounding success, offering Whitehall
students a unique blend of field learning, ecological education about medicinal
plants and practical exposure to environmental science. The initiative by
VINCULAR Testing Labs India Pvt. Ltd. was highly appreciated and served as a
commendable example of industry-school collaboration for experiential learning.
